Domestic abuse under Swiss law
Police, the law, crime, filing a complaint, evidence: these are the words that come to mind when abuse is finally exposed and the law steps in. This is often the first move towards breaking the cycle of abuse, but it can also be the beginning of a long journey. This episode focuses on the law in Switzerland and the different procedures involved, as well as the first steps to take if you are a victim of domestic abuse.
What does the law say? What can you expect if proceedings are initiated? How can you get help and protection? What can the police do?
These are the questions this episode aims to answer.
